Sidney A. Katz

Sidney A. Katz is the 18th and current mayor of Gaithersburg, Maryland. He has held this position since 1998.[1]

Katz attended the University of Maryland where the he received his Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration.[2] He was a member of the City of Gaithersburg Planning Commission from 1976 until 1978,[2] a council member from 1978[2] and the Mayor of the City of Gaithersburg from 1998 to the present.[1]

Besides being a politician, Katz is the co-owner of Wolfson's Department Store in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He is also the husband of Sally Katz and the father of two children.[2]
